Color

A la legua se le distingue...

 

Entre edificios grises, bajo un cielo gris, rodeado de parkas negras destaca el color, lo diferente, lo distinguido. Da igual que no fuese el más fiable, que incorporase avances técnicos que destruyesen su esencia. El paso del tiempo demuestra que el 911 es eternamente joven.

...no salió la baba, mejor.

Islandia

"Te conozco pero no te reconozco".
Había entrado en la peluquería para pedir cita y me topé con un antiguo compañero de la escuela. Estuvimos charlando un rato y me contó que a un conocido común le propusieron ir a trabajar a Islandia durante tres meses. Creo que la cosa fue de este modo: "O te vas, o te vas". Y claro, se va, a Islandia. No va contento, tres meses es suficientemente corto como para ir con su mujer e hijos. Suficientemente largo como para echarles de menos. Después, cuando le toque ir una semana al mes lo llevará mejor.

Por si todavía queda alguien por aquí, aprovecho la ocasión para desearle unas felices fiestas.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
